Keegan M Tucker
EDUCATOR & CLINICIAN

For nearly a decade, Keegan has worked as a public educator, guest instructor and clinician with students ranging from Kindergarten through community college. Keegan holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education (EIU '15) and a master's degree in Educational Leadership (EIU '20).
As an educator, Keegan focuses primarily on music and theater education for students in grades 3-12. He has written and developed music and theater curriculum for elementary, middle, and high school students and has taught online music history courses at the community college level. He has a passion for providing hands-on experiences for his students as it relates to music composition and performance. As a music and theater educator, it is Keegan's philosophy to help every student realize their potential as a collaborator and artist.

In addition to his work in music education, Keegan also instructs pre-service teachers in courses as they relate to the field of education. In his pre-service courses, students learn about the history and philosophy of American education, classroom management and lesson development skills, cultural diversity through the lens of a public educator, and integrating technology into the classroom as a purposeful and functional tool.

Keegan enjoys having the opportunity to share his knowledge and experiences in the classroom with other educators and students and regularly seeks avenues to speak at conferences or festivals as a clinician.
